sydney | the worlds most perfect puppy

i was sitting in bed late one evening when the text came in.

'when are you coming back to portland... i'm getting a puppy!'
i think i let out an audible squeal and my reply probably went something like this.

 'ack! when, where how?! i'll be there!!'

the text was from my friend nick, owner and crazy talented genius behind  owen & stork,  and he had been talking about getting a dog since i met him.   so the photo shoot for 'sydney' was set even before he had found his way into nick's life.

it took a few more weeks of cruising the pet rescue sites before sydney -- the worlds most perfect puppy -- made his claim on nick.. but when he did, it was love at first sight.

i asked nick during the course of the shoot just how long he had wanted a puppy, 'since i was a little boy'

i melted... i boy and his dog.  there is really not much sweeter.
